Wireless iPod due out in early 2007

Makes sense that Apple would continue to position themselves as leaders in the new iTV revolution. The latest round of speculation comes in the form of a video enabled wireless iPod.
Wireless iPodRight now speculators are suggesting that the wireless ability will give users the ability to sync with iTunes and to access the store to download songs and videos and podcasts etc. Personally, this sounds a little short-sighted but it’s a start.

From what I understand, a dock will be available at the end of this year that will sync up iPods wirelessly, charge and output to stereo/tv. One of my buds that works at Apple told me the manufacturer is silex technology, or something similar.

Not sure about wireless iPod units themselves, tho.

I’ve heard of a couple of companies out there that have developed these docks like the iDea that supports PSP and iPod and there was a fairly lame attempt made by Adimos that uses the rare ADM200 technology so it makes sense that Apple would develop one that actually works. I’m still far more excited about a potential wireless device.
